The Milan Planning Seminar 5th October 2012
This was a very productive seminar in which we planned the activities for the second and final year of the Breaking The Barriers project.
The key decisions we reached were:
For the mobilities
1. Bertarelli will visit Hillside 20th and 21st November
2. Bertarelli will host a student seminar 18th and 19th March
3. The final evaluation seminar will be in Lunel on 3rd May
For the online activities
1. The pupils will describe themselves and their environment through artwork showing a small area of the ground near the home or school and some of their personal possessions which help to define them. To be completed by the end of March. School to upload examples onto the website.
2. The pupils will tell a personal story from their lives through songs and music. To be completed by the end of March. Examples to be uploaded onto the website.
3. Pupils to upload pictures of all they eat on one day onto the website. Pupils to complete a questionnaire on the type of food they eat. To be completed by the end of March.
4. Each school to create an online presentation on the theme “What Slovakia/France/Italy/Britain means to me. Perhaps to be presented by video, with each pupil saying one sentence. To be completed by Christmas.
5. There are two parts to the entrepreneurship section
6. If I created my own business
a. Learning and working across Europe
b. To be competed by Christmas
7. Each school to upload guides “The Milan/Liverpool/Svidnik/Lunel of my heart by the end of March
8. Pupils to upload images of what they wear at different times – going out with friends etc. Simple explanatory sentence. Clothes to be laid out on floor rather than worn.
9. Schools to upload comments from pupils on all the activities onto a comment bank
